Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) is an apex body for the Construction Equipment (CE) Industry in India and represents over 90 leading companies that manufacture, trade and finance a wide range of construction, earthmoving, mining, and mineral processing equipment. ICEMA is an affiliated body of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

ICEMA organized an Annual Session & Annual General Meeting 2022 on 12 July 2022 at Ho‎tel Shangri-La, New Delhi. The theme for the Annual Session 2022 is “Indian CE Industry: Partnering for Infra-led Economic Growth”.

Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways was the Chief Gu‎est of the event.

The annual session provides a platform to create awareness about the CE industry’s growth opportunities, market trends and emerging technologies. It will also help to build meaningful conversations amongst key stakeholders and construction equipment eco-system players.

Our Managing Director, Mr. V. Senthilkumar participated in the panel discussion on “Being Future Ready- Market intelligence | Technology & Innovation | Sustainability”

Technology and innovation are key enablers for developing a future ready CE industry making it essential to understand the changing market dynamics and emerging global technologies. In addition, a progressive policy and regulatory ecosystem is crucial for helping the industry enhance scale, capabilities, and competitiveness, as well as prepare itself for imbibing change effectively. Our MD shared his perspectives on the role emerging technologies and market trends can play in shaping the future of the Indian CE Industry.

International Women’s Day Celebration

March 8, 2023, International women’s day was celebrated at our office today to show support for the women in workplace and promote gender equality. “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality,” highlights the role of innovative technology in promoting gender equality and meeting the health and developmental needs of women. #EmbraceEquity.

A total strength of 60 plus women employees participated in the event. Ms. V. Dhanamani, multifaceted person, a Pattimandram Naduvar and a Spiritual Orator was the Chief Guest for this event. She spoke broadly about women empowerment in the modern world and highlighted few point on what you think is a women freedom and how that can be amended?

Ms. Vidhya Senthilkumar, Director – Branding & CSR activities; Mr. D. Vengadesh, Joint Managing Director; Mr. R. Ragavan, CEO, OPEL; Mr. N. Raju, VP – CHRl; Dr. Ramachandra G M, Chief Operating Officer; Mr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, President – Business Development and Mr. Kanagaraj, OPEL – Deputy General Manager – CHR were present in the event.

Various indoor and outdoor games focusing on team building and coordination were conducted and the winners were rewarded by the management. Speaking about the event, Ms. Vidhya Senthilkumar, Director – Branding and CSR spoke about “the future corporate social responsibility projects in Propel for the enrichment of women children’s in all the self-help groups”.
The cake cutting event and a group photo session was a fitting finale to the celebrations and all the women employees were treated with high tea and yummy snacks also a small memorable return gifts were given to all women employees as a takeaway from the event.

Our recent CSR initiative

Our recent CSR initiative, in collaboration with the Eye Foundation and Make a Change, brought rays of hope to Ravathur Village!

Through an eye screening outreach program, we screened 128 individuals and identified 9 patients with cataracts who needed surgery. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that successful cataract surgeries have been performed for all nine patients.

This impactful program was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the OPEL CSR Team and volunteers from MAC. Moreover, the Eye Foundation’s provision of free transportation services ensures that patients receive the care they need, including pick-up and drop-off support for surgery.

“Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.”

Together, let’s continue to make a difference and foster a brighter future for all!
